Welcoming you to this page I'm super excited to congratulate you on your little family addition on their way or their arrival!

Newborn photography  is a very special one as it is a once in a lifetime experiance. Only once we get to capture those tiny newborn baby's details and their womb poses as their body remember them before they grow and change forever :) Newborn photography is a fantastic way to make those memories timeless and create a keepsake you, your baby and your family will treasure for years to come!

The ideal time frame for a newborn photoshoot is between 5-12 days of baby's life. The main reason is that newborns of this age sleep lots and very deep which allows us to go through the session smoothly without disturbing them. They also remember their position from the womb which is a great thing to capture! Don't worry though if you are past the time frame, I photograph newborns up till their 1st month!

INFO

Clothing:

Newborn baby - I have a selection of newborn clothes available to use for your little ones, very often I photograph them naked (intimate parts never visible) or just in their nappy. It is worth to bring just a plain baby vest, no prints, natural colour (white, beige, brown, grey).
Parents - Please bring with you 2-3 dark shirts/t-shirts (dark blue/grey/black) for black background family portraits or 2-3 light colour shirts/t-shirts (ideally white or cream) for light background family portraits.

Leaving for a photoshoot:

- If possible please do not feed the baby just before leaving for a photoshoot. We will do that just before starting our session. Newborn babies usually fall asleep while being fed and this becomes our easy starting point. Do not worry if this is not possible - we will rock the session anyway :)
- Dress your little one in clothes that will be easy to take off for a
session - ideally buttoned sleepsuits.

Colours and set-ups:

My aim is to produce images that are not too bright and tiring for our eyes. I usually go for pastel colours or natural earthy tones. This way our attenton goes to what is the most important - you and your little treasure! Your relations and your emotions. Because this is what matters most and this is what we aim to capture! However, my goal is to create images that you will treasure for years to come and thus I am open for any ideas or preferences that you may have. Im this case please do let me know before the session so that I will be 100% prepared for creating your very own and very special newborn/family portraits :)

Make up & hairstyle
Makeup - It is worth considering to have a professional make up done for the session although it is not a must. Before makeup it's worth to prepare your skin by using peeling a nigh before the session and moisturize your skin with your favourite
cream on the day.

Hair - personally I love when you have your hair loose but prepare any hairstyle which best suit you :) Last but not least it is worth to take care of your hands & nails too (both Mums and Dads) as sometimes I do close up portraits with newborn on parent's hands or some detail images.

It is also worth to bring your baby's moisturizer to
moisture any dry skin.

Siblings:

If your little one has older siblings, they should definitely take part in the photoshoot too Just let me know upon booking the session if and how many siblings your little one has so that I will prepare the session accordingly. Clothing to be discussed, usually natural colours, as simple as possible matching parents' clothing. As newborn session is quite long packing for a session don't forget about your older children, any of their favourite snacks or favourite toys that will keep them busy during our photoshoot. I always have box of toys, colouring pages & crayons and snacks but of course you know your children best :)

Animals:

If there are any pet members of your family take them with you. I would love to photograph your family as a whole! :)

Other:

- Please be aware that a newborn session last around 2 to maximum 4 hours. Mainly because newborns are usually photographed while sleeping (this way the session is a stress free experiance for them) which means we have to take some time to feed them and lull them to sleep. This is a baby-led session, I never force any pose on them and I always give them as much time as they need to feel content and settled.

- Please be prepared that it can get quite warm during the session as newborns tend to fall asleep faster and sleep deeper in higher temperatures. Usually I turn on the small heater which heats the air fast and can be turned off easily, I also use little white noise
machine.

I know how stressful and tiring going out with newborn can be. I
promise I will do my best to let you have a little rest while I will be
taking care of your little one during the session :)

Please take with you:
- clothes listed above
- nappies
- muslin cloth for feeding
- baby wipes if you use them
- baby blanket that you usually cuddle your little one with
- dummy
- baby moisturizer
- formula milk if the baby is bottle fed
- any snacks or toys for older siblings
- any items that are precious to you and you wish to include them in the
session, this could be some clothes handmade by a member of your family
or a toy that travel with generations or maybe your wedding rings :)

I am looking forward to meeting you!
