INFO

Time frame:

Pregnancy is an exceptional state, though it seems like forever sometimes, in a blink of an eye we are not pregnant anymore. It is SO worth capturing! The ideal TIME FRAME for maternity photoshoot is in between 26th and 32nd week of pregnancy and up to 36th week. Have in mind that these are only recommended time frames and the photoshoot date usually depands on how you and your little one feel!

Clothing:

I have a selection of maternity clothes available for you to use on your maternity session. Those are maternity gowns, long tulle skirts or maternity bodysuits. You can also choose to come with your own piece of clothing, maybe you would like to be photographed in your favourite underwear (or maybe without? :) - nude/boudoir maternity portraits are also available). Options are plenty and the choice is yours! Most importantly I want you to feel YOU and to choose the style of clothing that best describes you! :) Choose skin colour underwear if possble with detachable straps. If there is a big difference in hight between you and your partner you could choose to take some high heels with you.

Make up & Hair:

Make up - It is worth to consider having a professional make up done before the session but it's not a must. Before make up it's worth to prepare your skin by using peeling a night before the session and moisturize your skin with your favourite cream on the day.

Hair - personally I love when you have your hair loose but prepare any hairstyle which best suit you :)
Last but not least it is worth to take care of your hands & nails too (both women and men) as sometimes I do close up detail images with hands on your tummy.

Partner:

Take him with you! :) I would love to capture your beautiful time of expecting with your partner by your side, your love and emotions. It will be a lovely lifetime memory not only for you but also for your baby to treasure forever. Partner's clothing to be discussed, usually shirts or polos matching the colour of the maternity gown or pastel/natural colours (white, grey, light blue or beige). Natural colour trausers or jeans would be perfect. Please choose elegant shoes if possible, no bright colours or logos. It is also important that all of the clothing is as plain as possible, no prints or big logos.

Siblings:
If you have older children, they should definitely take part in the photoshoot too! Just let me know upon booking the session if and how many children you have so that I will prepare the session accordingly. Clothing to be discussed, usually natural colours, as simple as possible matching parents' clothing.

Animals:
If there are any pet members of your family take them with you. I would love to photograph your family as a whole! :) Let me know upon booking the session to discuss the details.

Colours:

My aim is to produce images that are not too bright and tiring for our eyes. I usually go for pastel colours or natural earthy tones. This way our attenton goes to what is the most important - you! Your relations and your emotions. Because this is what matters most and this is what we aim to capture! However, my goal is to create images that you will treasure for years to come and thus I am open for any ideas or preferences that you may have. Im this case please do let me know before the session so that I will be 100% prepared for creating your very own and very special maternity portraits :)

Other:

* Maternity sessions can be done both in my home studio or outdoor. Location to be discussed a few days before the session.
